Bali Swing

Few experiences in Bali deliver quite the same rush as the Bali Swing. Located in the village of Bongkasa, just a short drive from Ubud, the original and best-known swing sends you soaring high above a dramatic jungle valley with nothing but open sky and a sea of palm canopy stretching out before you. The sensation is equal parts thrilling and liberating — a moment of weightless flight with a view that feels almost impossibly cinematic. Multiple swing heights are available, from a gentle lower arc for those who prefer to ease in, up to the full-height experience that launches you far out over the valley floor. Staff are on hand to help you onto the swing and capture the perfect mid-flight photograph.

Beyond the swings themselves, the grounds offer a collection of creative photo spots — oversized bird’s-nest seats perched on the valley edge, scenic platforms, and viewpoints that make the most of the sweeping tropical panorama. It is easy to spend a couple of hours here, swinging, posing, and simply taking in the view. Our advice is to arrive before ten in the morning, when queues are short and the light is at its most flattering.
